More About Me

For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of seeing the world.

Even as a little girl, I was fascinated by places far beyond my own. I remember learning about Africa in school and feeling heartbroken that so many people didn't have enough food or access to clean water. I wanted to understand their lives, not just read about them. I dreamed of one day seeing the incredible wildlife, helping local communities, and experiencing a completely different way of life. That curiosity never left me.

I grew up in a loving family with my parents and my sister. We took family vacations and made wonderful memories together, visiting places like the Bahamas, Jamaica, Disney World, and other destinations around the United States. But international travel wasn't a huge part of my childhood. No matter how grateful I was for where I came from, I always felt there was a bigger world waiting for me. I knew I had to see it for myself.

That dream finally became reality during college when I had the opportunity to study abroad in New Zealand.

It completely changed my life.

I couldn't believe places that beautiful actually existed. Towering mountains, crystal-clear lakes, endless coastlines, and nights filled with more stars than I'd ever seen—it felt unreal. At the same time, I realized that New Zealand was only one small piece of this incredible planet. Instead of satisfying my curiosity, it made me want to see even more.

The following summer, I packed a backpack and spent weeks traveling across Southeast Asia.

That journey opened my eyes in an entirely different way. The cultures, traditions, food, landscapes, and daily lives of the people I met were unlike anything I had experienced before. Every country challenged the way I thought about happiness, success, and what it means to live a meaningful life. I came home with more than memories—I came home with a completely new perspective. I realized that the world is our greatest classroom. Being out in the world has taught me so much more than I have ever learned through my 16 years of schooling.

After that, I knew one study abroad experience wasn't enough.

I chose to study abroad again, this time in Spain, where I spent four months living in Europe. Having a home base while being able to explore neighboring countries was an experience I'll never forget. Europe was incredible, but I also discovered something about myself: I'm especially drawn to places that are less traveled. I love destinations that feel raw, authentic, and full of local culture. Those are the places where I feel like a traveler rather than simply a tourist.

Today, I'm finishing my final semester at the University of Tampa, where I'll graduate in December 2026 with a degree in Marketing.

While many graduates are eager to jump straight into a traditional career, I've realized my path looks a little different.

I know I'll eventually settle down, build a career, and have responsibilities waiting for me. But right now, while I'm young and free, I want to keep exploring. I don't believe life is something you put on hold until retirement. I believe it's meant to be lived every single day. None of us know how much time we have, and I want to spend mine collecting experiences, meeting people from different cultures, and seeing as much of this wonderous planet as I possibly can.

I've realized that the world is our greatest classroom. Being out in the world has taught me so much more than I have ever learned through my 16 years of schooling.

This blog is where I'll share those adventures—the unforgettable moments, the lessons I've learned, the places that have changed me, and the destinations still waiting on my bucket list.

I'm so glad you're here, and I hope my journey inspires you to chase your own.
